Pinnacle Pledges $75,000 towards the “Partnering for the Future” Capital Campaign

Stanley, ND- Pinnacle, the Cenex cooperative in Stanley and Tioga, has committed to a $75,000 contribution to the “Partnering for the Future” Campaign for Mountrail County Medical Center.

The Campaign has raised more than $4 million since it started almost a year ago. Proceeds from the campaign will be used to offset the costs associated with a three phase project to expand the Emergency Department, medical clinic and common space within the Bethel Home.

In making the contribution to the cause, Pinnacle’s Interim CEO Larry Swalheim noted the value of having a quality medical facility in Mountrail County.

“No matter how you look at the hospital, whether as an economic anchor, a medical facility or a home for our residents, it is exceptionally important to the quality of life in this region”, said Swalheim, who just assumed responsibility for operations of the cooperative, “and we are very pleased to be able to contribute to the cause for many, many reasons”.

Swalheim noted that Pinnacle will also be making a similar contribution to the hospital in Tioga.

We, at the Mountrail County Health Foundation, extend a huge thank you to the Board of Directors and employees of Pinnacle for making this pledge happen.”

The construction on the Emergency Department is almost totally complete. Kinnoin says the clinic is expected to be dedicated in January and the work on the Bethel Home will begin once the campaign raises the balance of the funds needed and the state approves the design and construction plan.

The Mountrail County Health Foundation recently announced that they have accepted the responsibility of raising $1.6 million for the Mountrail Bethel Home. Key elements of the project include a Chapel, new kitchen, expansions of the Dining Rooms, including a family dining area, and an all-weather transportation center.
