Stanley, ND- Mountrail County Medical Center is pleased to announce Tammie Braaflat, FNP-BC will be joining the facility starting on November 30th, 2015 and will start seeing patients in early December in the clinic. A North Dakota native, Tammie and her husband farm by Plaza and have three daughters.

Tammie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minot State University in 2003. She completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Program and graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2008. Her experience as a Nurse Practitioner has been in family practice, caring for patients of all ages.

“We are very excited to have Tammie join our team here at the Mountrail County Medical Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner,” says Dr. Mark Longmuir, MCMC’s Chief of Staff. “With the recent departure of two of our providers, this addition of a new provider will help greatly to increase the timeliness and availability of appointments in the clinic. Currently we only have myself and Physician Assistant, Abbey Ruland, on staff full time with DNP Tara Nardacci coming back in January from maternity leave. We are filling in the schedule with locums and are aggressively looking for more mid-level providers and one more Physician.”

“With the remodel of the ER, recent addition of the CT Scanner and the newly expanded T.H. Reiarson Rural Health Clinic, we can confidently say we are not a band-aid stop anymore,” says Longmuir. “We currently upgraded our X-Ray machine and portable X-Ray machine and with the addition of the portable Ultrasound machine, we can keep patients here and not have to transfer them out for diagnostics.”

The T.H. Reiarson Rural Health Clinic is also pleased to bring in the following specialists once a month. Audiologist, Dr. Kelci Kilthau (800-735-5866) comes to MCMC the 2nd Friday of every month; Podiatrist, Dr. Tyson Williams (701-857-3584) comes to MCMC the 3rd Wednesday of every month; and OB/GYN, Dr. David Amsbury (800-477-1046) comes to MCMC the 2nd Thursday of every month.
